Balenciaga Receipt

A boutique receipt reads more like a document than a till slip. It is wider, set in a typewriter or serif face, and it records a style code, a size and the associate who handled the sale. Receipt Caker lays one out in your browser.

How do I make a designer boutique receipt?
Receipt Caker builds a boutique-style receipt in your browser. Choose the wide paper, add style code and size as custom rows, set the local tax rate, then export a PNG or PDF.
What does a fashion boutique receipt include?
The garment with its style code, size and colorway, the boutique that sold it, the associate who served you, the tax or VAT charged, and the exchange window. Barcodes are rare, because the document is meant to be kept rather than scanned.

Ce que vous pouvez faire

  • Wide paper with typewriter or serif faces, matching boutique stationery
  • Custom rows for style code, size, colorway and boutique location
  • Associate or sales-advisor name in place of a cashier number
  • Any currency and locale, so a European purchase formats the way it printed
  • Extra total lines for gift wrap, alterations or shipping
  • Barcode switched off, since boutique documents rarely carry one

Boutique Receipts Are Documents, Not Slips

A supermarket receipt is designed to be thrown away. A boutique receipt is designed to be kept, and the format follows from that. It prints on a wide sheet rather than a roll, uses a proportional or typewriter face instead of a thermal one, and leaves enough room to describe the piece properly rather than truncating it to a handful of characters.

The practical consequence for anyone rebuilding one is that every default is wrong. Switch the paper to its widest setting, move the font away from thermal, and turn the barcode off before you touch the content at all.

Style Codes, Sizes and Why They Get Recorded

Fashion is sold by style code. The code identifies the season, the garment and the colorway, and it is what an exchange, an alteration or a resale listing gets checked against. Size sits beside it, usually in the sizing system the house uses rather than a local one.

Both belong in header rows. Put them in the item description and they get lost among the words; give them their own labeled fields and the receipt can be read at a glance by somebody who was never in the shop.

Tax, VAT and Buying Across Borders

Boutique purchases cross borders more often than everyday ones, which puts tax on the receipt in a way it rarely is elsewhere. Across much of Europe the shelf price already includes VAT and the rate is stated on the document, and a traveler leaving the region may be entitled to reclaim it against exactly this piece of paper.

The builder accepts any currency and any locale, so an amount can be formatted the way it would have printed where the sale happened. Set the tax rate to the local VAT rate rather than a sales-tax percentage, because the two are presented quite differently.

Resale, Insurance and Legitimate Use

Two honest reasons bring people to a receipt like this. One is insurance, since scheduling a wardrobe means listing each piece against a purchase price. The other is resale, where a buyer wants proof of purchase before paying a secondhand price for something expensive.

Receipt Caker produces generic documents for both. It does not reproduce any fashion house's layout, logo or typography, and the sample here is an invented boutique. Presenting a generated receipt as one issued by a real brand, or using it to prop up a resale claim you cannot back, is fraud and is not what this tool exists for.

Questions fréquentes

Should a boutique receipt have a barcode?
Usually not. Barcodes belong to till systems that need to scan returns at a counter. A boutique document is meant to be filed with the purchase, so the builder lets you switch it off.
How do I show VAT rather than sales tax?
Set the tax rate to the local VAT rate and pick the matching currency and locale. The total line then reads the way it would have on the original document.
Can I record size and colorway separately?
Yes, as custom rows. That keeps them out of the item description, where long garment names tend to get truncated and the detail is lost.
What about gift wrap or alterations?
Add them as separate total lines. They are services rather than goods, and keeping them apart leaves the item price clean for insurance or resale purposes.
Is the builder free to use?
Free and unlimited for PNG export. Pro removes the watermark and unlocks PDF export and logo uploads.
