What Makes a Receipt Look Thermal
A thermal receipt is defined by its shape and font. Because it prints on a continuous paper roll, it is tall and narrow rather than a full page, and the type is almost always monospace so every character lines up in neat columns.
The header sits centered at the top with the seller name, address, and date, followed by a dashed or dotted divider. Items list down the page, each on its own row, with the price pushed to the right edge for a clean read.
