Itemizing the Sale
A sales receipt earns its name by listing what sold. Give each product its own line with a description, quantity, and price, and the subtotal adds them together.
Describing items in plain, generic terms keeps the receipt honest: it records what your business actually sold rather than copying any retailer's layout or branding.
Tax, Total, and Receipt Number
Enter your tax rate to apply it to the taxable subtotal, and the grand total combines items and tax. A receipt number in a note field helps you match the sale to your records later.
