Brand Receipts

Louis Vuitton Receipt Generator

Leather goods generate paperwork that apparel does not. A bag gets personalized at the counter, comes back years later for restoration, and eventually gets sold on with whatever documentation survived. Receipt Caker builds documents for all three moments.

How do I make a leather goods receipt?
Receipt Caker builds a leather goods document in your browser. Add the date code and material as custom rows, price personalization or repair work on separate lines, then export a PNG or PDF.
What is a date code on a bag?
A short stamped or embossed string indicating where and roughly when the piece was made. It is not a serial number and does not identify an individual bag, but it is what a repair counter and a resale buyer both look for.

Three Documents Over the Life of One Bag

Leather goods outlast the transaction that created them by decades, and they generate paper more than once. There is the original sale. There is personalization, sometimes done at the counter on the same day and sometimes years later. There is repair or restoration, which for a well-used piece may happen several times.

Each of those is a different document with a different shape, and they end up filed together as the history of one object. The builder handles all three because a page about leather goods that only covered the purchase would cover the least interesting part.

Date Codes Are Not Serial Numbers

This trips people up constantly. A date code indicates a manufacturing location and period. It does not uniquely identify a piece, many bags share the same one, and it was never designed as an authentication mechanism. Treating it as proof of anything on its own is a mistake that the resale market makes routinely.

Record it in a labeled row because a repair counter will ask for it, but record the material, hardware finish and dimensions beside it. Together those describe the piece far better than a code that thousands of other bags also carry.

Personalization Is a Service, Not a Product

Initials pressed into leather, a painted stripe, a monogrammed strap: these are work performed on an item rather than an item sold. They are priced separately at the counter and they should stay separate on the document.

The practical reason is resale. Personalization usually lowers the secondhand value of a bag rather than raising it, so a buyer needs to see what was done and what it cost as its own line. There is also a plainer reason: the item price is what an insurer schedules, and inflating it with service charges misstates the cover you need.

Restoration Records and Honest Use

A restoration invoice is the most useful document in the set and the one most often lost. Replaced piping, a relined interior, refinished hardware, a rebuilt handle: each changes what the piece is, and a buyer paying a restored price is entitled to know which parts are original.

Receipt Caker produces generic documents and does not reproduce any house's layout, logo, typography or authentication material. The sample here is an invented leather workshop. Recording your own purchase or a repair you commissioned is legitimate. Producing documentation implying a real house sold or authenticated something it never touched is fraud, and our terms prohibit it.

Preguntas frecuentes

Is a date code the same as a serial number?
No. A date code indicates where and roughly when a piece was made, and many items share one. It does not identify an individual bag and it is not an authentication tool.
How should personalization be recorded?
As its own service line, separate from the item price. It is work performed on the piece, and it typically affects resale value differently from the bag itself.
Can I make a repair or restoration invoice?
Yes, and it is worth itemizing the work. A buyer paying a restored price needs to know which components are original and which were replaced.
Can I record a purchase made abroad?
Yes. The builder accepts any currency and locale, so the amount formats the way it would have in the country where the sale happened.
Is the builder free to use?
Free and unlimited for PNG export. Pro removes the watermark and unlocks PDF export and logo uploads.
