How a Receipt Book Is Structured
A receipt book is a pad of pre-numbered slips. Each page has room for the seller and buyer details, the items or reason for payment, and the amount, with a duplicate beneath so the seller keeps a copy after tearing off the customer's.
The sequential numbers are the key feature. They let a business track receipts in order, spot a missing slip, and match copies quickly during reconciliation.

Filling Out a Slip
Enter the seller name, the date, and the buyer if you want to name them. Assign a receipt number so the slip fits into your sequence and can be found again later.
Add the items or the reason for payment with amounts. Receipt Caker totals them, applies any tax rate, and computes the final amount so you do not add by hand.
Both the customer copy and the merchant stub fill in together from this single entry, so tearing off the customer's copy still leaves you with a matching record.
