Printable Invoice Template

A clean, print-friendly invoice that lays out neatly on paper or a saved PDF straight from your browser.

What is a printable invoice template?
A printable invoice template is a layout built to print cleanly on standard paper. Receipt Caker fills it in your browser and exports a tidy image or PDF you can send to a printer.
How do I print my invoice?
Export the finished invoice as a PNG or, with Pro, a PDF, then open the file and print it. The layout keeps margins and columns aligned so nothing is cut off on paper.

What to include on a printable invoice template

Business name, address, and contact line
Bill-to name and client address
Invoice number and issue date
Itemized rows with description, quantity, and rate
Subtotal, tax, and total figures
Payment terms you type in
A footer note or thank-you line

Why a print-ready layout matters

Some clients still want a paper copy, and a document that looks good on screen can print badly if the columns crowd the edges. A printable invoice template keeps the spacing, headings, and totals arranged so the page reads cleanly when it comes out of a printer.

The layout uses a familiar structure: sender at the top, client below, then the itemized table and totals. That order is easy to scan on paper, which helps when someone files or reviews a stack of printed invoices.

Filling it in with Receipt Caker

Add your business details and the client, then enter an invoice number and date. Type each item into the table with a quantity and rate, and the totals build up automatically in the live preview.

The preview shows the exact arrangement that will appear on the printed sheet, so you can check spacing before you export. What you see on screen is what lands on paper.

Exporting for print

Download a free PNG to print at home, at work, or at a print shop. For crisp text and reliable sizing, Pro exports a PDF that holds up well when scaled to a full page.

Because the file is a standard image or PDF, any printer or print service can handle it. You are not tied to a specific app to get a clean copy on paper.

Branding your printed invoices

A logo makes a printed invoice look established. With Pro you can upload yours and it appears in the header of the exported file, so the paper copy carries your identity.

Receipt Caker creates and formats the printable document. It does not track payment or send anything, so once you have printed or saved the file, sending and follow-up stay with you.

Frequently asked questions

Will the invoice print without cutting off the edges?
The template is arranged with margins and column widths that suit a standard page, so the important content sits inside the printable area. Checking the live preview before you export lets you confirm the layout looks right, and the exported file mirrors what you saw on screen.
Should I export a PNG or a PDF for printing?
A free PNG prints fine for most everyday needs. If you want the sharpest text at full-page size, the Pro PDF export tends to scale more cleanly on paper. Both use the same layout, so the choice comes down to how crisp you need the printed result.
Can I print more than one copy?
Yes. Once you have exported the file, it is a normal image or PDF on your device, so you can print as many copies as you like, one for the client and one for your own records, without returning to Receipt Caker each time.
Does the printed version include a watermark?
The free PNG export carries a small watermark that will show when printed. Upgrading to Pro removes it and unlocks PDF export, giving you a clean printed page. The rest of the layout stays identical whether or not the watermark is present.
Can I add my logo to the printed invoice?
Logo upload is a Pro feature. When enabled, your logo appears in the header of the exported file, so the printed sheet looks branded. On the free plan the layout still prints cleanly, just without a logo and with the watermark in place.
Does Receipt Caker keep a copy of what I print?
No. The tool builds the document and hands you the exported file. It does not store your invoices, track which ones you printed, or record payment status. Keep your own copies of the files you export so you have a record of what you sent.
